Ardbeg

Ardbeg is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery located on the southern coast of Islay, Scotland, producing heavily peated expressions from a coastal site that imparts a distinctly maritime, briny character. The distillery malts barley to a phenol level among the highest on the island, then ages spirit in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The Ardbeg 10 Year Old anchors the range as the core expression, while Wee Beastie offers a younger five-year profile with raw peat intensity. Uigeadail draws additional richness from sherry cask maturation, and An Oa blends cask types for a rounder result. Limited releases such as Blaaack, Spectacular, and the 19-year Traigh Bhan Batch 2 represent the upper reaches of the portfolio.
