"Caramel. Caramel. Caramel. It comes early and remains to the finish. In between this caramel sandwich, it’s nutmeg, cinnamon, jasmine, rose petals, baked apples, fudge, pecan pie, peanut brittle, and roasted peanuts. Over a mouth-coating palate, its complexity tingles and every note plays just under the rich and layered caramel that presents itself as a chew on the extremely long finish. This is a must-have sipper."
The 2014 edition of the whiskey often seen as the pinnacle of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection – George T Stagg. Bottled at 69.05%, this is packed full of intense flavour but isn't for the faint-hearted.

A wine list from Flask published in the early 1970s
Driving down Ventura Blvd in Studio City in the 1960’s has something in common with today, Flask Fine Wine & Whisky- Flask first opened its doors to the public in 1962. Decades later and it still remains a respected fixture in the Los Angeles community.
We work directly with the wineries, distilleries and breweries to maintain a personal relationship with the creators of some of our favorite products.
We want to know their stories and how they produce bottles that fit into our unique collection. We make a point to keep our selection stocked with a wide variety, offering your classic Napa icons to your natural & organic wines.
We like to think of our whiskey and spirit section as more of a library where the rarest of bottles can be found.
We look forward to helping you find your next favorite bottle!
The nose will entice you with a complex array of notes including cigar tobacco, espresso, smoke, char, vanilla, cherry, cinnamon, and oak.
The first sip coats the mouth and has a medium viscosity. Notes of char, tobacco, caramel, and vanilla are present. The second sip erupts with toffee, smoke, and dark chocolate notes. The spirit warms the mouth and settles with a heat in the chest. This third sip is an incredible mixture of all the tasting notes listed above and permeates the entire mouth.
The finish is long and pleasant. The heat from this bourbon is evident across the top of the tongue and stimulated a Pavlovian response. Notes of smoke, oak, and char are initially present. These favors progress into cinnamon and dark roast coffee. As the bourbon lingers faint notes of cinnamon and clove emerge.
