Jack Daniel's is a Tennessee whiskey distillery based in Lynchburg, Tennessee, producing charcoal-mellowed whiskey through the Lincoln County Process, in which new spirit filters through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal before entering the barrel. The distillery uses a sour mash process with iron-free cave spring water and ages its whiskey in new charred American oak barrels. The core Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey anchors the range, while Jack Daniel's Bonded Tennessee Whiskey meets the legal bottled-in-bond standard of 100 proof and four years minimum age. Aged expressions including the 10 Year Old and 12 Year Old Tennessee Whiskey represent extended maturation from select barrels, and the Single Barrel Coy Hill Barrel Proof bottling reaches full cask strength at 140.4 proof.
