Shipping policy

• Express (Overnight or 2-Day) – orders placed by 1 pm PT ship the same business day.
• Ground – ships within 1-2 business days, Monday-Thursday.
• Economy – ships within 2-3 business days, Monday-Thursday.
• Weekends and holidays do not count as transit days.
• Transit days are Monday-Friday.
• Saturday delivery is available for eligible overnight services—select the Saturday Delivery option at checkout.
• Need a rush or last-minute change? Call or email before checkout; we’ll confirm eligibility on the spot.

Federal law requires an adult 21+ to sign for alcohol deliveries. Carriers make up to three attempts. If no one will be home, you can at checkout—or later via the tracking link—choose:

• Hold at a UPS Customer Center or UPS Access Point (recommended for apartments and offices).
• Redirect to a business address where someone is always available.

Gift and local courier deliveries follow the same rule. Our courier team will contact the recipient first to confirm a 21 + adult will be present before dispatch.

Orders shipping to an address different from the billing address may pause for a quick security check—usually two to three hours during business hours.

If additional confirmation is needed, you may receive an email and/or SMS from NoFraud, our fraud-screening partner. Please respond promptly so we can keep your shipment moving.

• Optional OrderProtection covers loss or breakage from pickup to delivery. Add it at checkout; it cannot be added later.
• Protection excludes minor scuffs or other minor cosmetic issues.
• We flag temps above 72 °F or below 32 °F as extreme. During these periods you can:
  • Select Weather-Hold or send us an email– we store your order free for up to 180 days until conditions improve.
  • Ship anyway with a Weather Waiver acknowledging temperature risk.

All sales occur in California. State laws on inbound alcohol vary—before checkout, confirm your local regulations. Enter your shipping address at checkout and the cart will display every carrier option legally available for that destination. By selecting a shipping option, you appoint us to arrange a licensed common carrier on your behalf. You are responsible for any applicable state or local taxes at destination.

Alcoholic beverages cannot be shipped to USPS Post Office Boxes.

We ship wine and spirits to select countries including Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, UK, and most EU countries; beer cannot be shipped internationally.

Website checkouts display and collect duties and taxes upfront; these shipments go out Delivered Duties Paid (DDP).

Orders arranged off-site (email, phone, PO) follow the agreed terms for each transaction and may ship DDU with duties/taxes payable on delivery.

Because alcohol laws limit reverse logistics, we can’t accept general returns. If we ship the wrong item or quantity, contact us within 24 hours of delivery and we’ll make it right- replacement, credit, or refund as appropriate.

Checkout supports multiple display currencies for your convenience; however, all payments settle in US Dollars via Shopify Payments. Orders are released for shipment or pickup once payment clears.

Need to delay delivery? We’ll hold fully-paid orders in our temperature-controlled cellar for up to 180 days at no charge.
