Careful distillation in traditional alembic pot stills and aging in small oak casks are the keys to producing the finest brandy. Chandon ages its brandy in Limousin oak for nine years, using a mixture of old barrels formerly employed by cognac producers, and newer barrels. Nine years in this oak allows for the subtle extraction of tannins and vanilla-imparting rich, supple aromas, flavors and mouthfeel- the hallmarks of quality handcrafted brandy.

Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
