This highly sought-after expression is named after Thomas H. Handy, the 19th-century bartender credited with popularizing the Sazerac cocktail. As a cask-strength rye, this release delivers an intense yet beautifully balanced combination of spice, sweetness, and depth.

Distilled in Spring 2014 and bottled in 2020, this whiskey was aged for 6 years and 4 months before being bottled at an impressive 129.0 proof (64.5% ABV). Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
