The ninth release in Glengyle’s popular Cask Strength series is a 100% sherry matured single malt. Kilkerran 8 Years Old Sherry Cask Strength Batch #9 was bottled in January 2023 at a robust cask strength of 57.5%. The sherry casks have added spicy and fruity notes to Kilkerran’s coastal and smoky character. Peat smoke on the nose is balanced by aromas of toasted marshmallows, smoked ham, dark chocolate and clove. The coastal influence comes to the fore on the palate with notes of sea salt and fishing nets, alongside sweet hints of candied apple and toffee. The sweet peat influence remains throughout the finish.

If we have multiple quantities of the same item, the photo represents the general condition of all bottles under that SKU. Any significant condition issues, such as low ullage or bin-stained labels, will be clearly noted in the product description. We use premium, industry-standard materials to protect every shipment. Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For added peace of mind, we offer shipping protection against loss or damage at checkout through OrderProtection.com.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

Yes. During periods of extreme heat, we include complimentary ice packs in our insulated shippers. However, to fully protect your investment, we strongly recommend selecting an overnight shipping service in these conditions.
