Anne Gros' Chambolle Orveaux vokser meget langt tilbage i Combe, midtergangen mellem Vosne og Chambolle. Der er også en 1er Cru-del af området længere fremme, hvor det er varmere. Men her er vi i den køligste del af denne vinmark, så det er altid den sidste Pinot Noir, der høstes hos Anne Gros, selv efter Hautes-Côtes de Nuits. Helt afstilket og spontangæret i rustfri ståltanke, derefter lagret i ca. 18 måneder i hovedsageligt brugte barriques. Næsen er kølig og stenet under den strålende røde frugt, mørke skyggefulde hjertekirsebær, efterårsblade og vulkansk sten på næsen. Et vidunderligt spor af syre løber gennem denne vin, næsten marmorerende, søde surkirsebær, alt spiller sammen. Violer, rosenblade. Intet grønt, intet skarpt, alt flyder og spræller. Hvis du kan lide maksimal finesse og lethed i Pinot Noir, får du noget for pengene her. Dette er en dansende skønhed.

The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny la Combe d'Orveaux, which comes from a parcel surrounded by woodland, has a light bouquet with brambly red fruit and wild hedgerow, perhaps needing a little more fruit concentration like the 2022. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded tannins on the entry. Lightly spiced, a dash of black pepper toward the finish, this is an understated Chambolle with a sense of coolness about it.
