Vilmart & Cie Grand Cellier 1er Brut NV Champagne

A blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir is classified as Premier Cru and comes from the vineyards of Rilly-la Montagne.

The light lemon color, tinged with golden and green reflections, is shimmering and bright. The calm and regular effervescence is made of very fine bubbles.

The expression is floral (honeysuckle, lilac) with citrus notes on a touch of fresh butter and fresh cream.

After a few minutes of airing, the notes of evolution and breeding appear and enrich the whole: the nose is complex, fine, with a lot of character.

When the wine warms up slightly, the expression becomes more "racy".

The wine then expresses spicy notes, ginger and lemongrass. One notices especially the very good quality of the acidity which maintains the desire throughout the tasting.

These various sensations produce an overall creamy and harmonious texture.

The finish is clean, slightly mineral and long. The last impression is of grapefruit and leaves the memory of a dynamic and vigorous wine.
