Siete Leguas is a well-known and respected brand in the world of Tequila, and their Decades Blanco is a special release that celebrates the company's 70th anniversary. This limited edition spirit is sure to be a hit with collectors and Tequila aficionados alike.

One of the key factors that sets Decades Blanco apart from other Tequilas is the use of wild Criollo agaves. These agaves are smaller and richer than the more common blue weber variety, and they grow naturally on the steepest slopes in the region. Harvesting these agaves is a dangerous task, but the extra effort is worth it because it results in a more flavorful final product.

After the agaves are harvested, they are cooked for three days in small stone ovens at Casa Siete Leguas. The agaves are then crushed using the traditional tahona method, which involves using a large stone wheel to extract the juice. This juice is then left to ferment naturally in open air tanks, allowing it to take on the ambient yeast of the surrounding citrus orchards. This process helps to impart the signature style of Siete Leguas to the Tequila.

The final step in the production process is double distillation on small copper pot stills, which results in a stunning Tequila with a 42% ABV. When you taste Decades Blanco, you'll experience the rich flavors imparted by the wild Criollo agaves and the natural fermentation process, making it a truly exceptional spirit.
