Light lemon yellow with green reflections, radiantly clear and characterised by youthful freshness. The wine is particularly brilliant in the magnum bottle.

Generous and open-hearted, this Charmes presents itself with impressive depth. Yellow apple, Lemon blossoms and Tangerine combine with a distinctive mineral saltiness. These are joined by warm brioche, salted butter and Lemon curd, complemented by fine herbal notes of Sorrel and Chervil. A fascinating, constantly changing interplay of flavours that calls for large glasses and decanting.

The true class of this Premier Cru is revealed here: rich and full-bodied, yet firm and athletically structured. Vertical acidity and a tightly woven mineral corset give the wine remarkable contour and definition. Despite its fullness, nothing seems heavy or bulky - everything is precisely characterised, powerful and elegant at the same time. The structure already hints at the ageing potential of this wine, which is already a pleasure to drink.
