Winemaker Notes
Intense garnet red in color. Very interesting on the nose, with wild fruit, balsamic aromas, toasty oak and toffee. Full-bodied, the wine is balanced and open. It has complexity and a persistent and aromatic aftertaste.

Orbén is more modern in style than its sister winery, Izadi. This pure Tempranillo from a vineyard at (distinctly marginal) 700 metres is aged in 50% new French barrels and is deeply coloured, savoury and plush with bright, aromatic berry fruit, well-handled oak and the freshness you’d expect from such a site. 2020-30. Alcohol: 14.5%

This big red has a plush texture that wraps around muscular tannins. Plum and currant flavors mingle with licorice, cola and forest floor notes, with balsamic acidity for freshness. A burly wine, but harmonious. Best from 2020 through 2035.
