Born into a family for which wine and viticulture were everything since 1490, Francois, after obtaining a master in law and business, came into the family business to manage the estates and properties of Château de la Tour in Clos de Vougeot and Domaine Pierre Labet in Beaune.

Coming from a 300 year long history of ancestors in Beaune, one might question if being born in a château in the heart of Clos Vougeot, whether Labet has been overtaken by the land, or whether he owns it.

François Labet knows how to bring the notion of terroir alive and grant it what it should always be: an element of his freedom. Corsica gives François another opportunity to explore and give expression to Pinot Noir.

Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
