The color is ruby red with blue highlights. A very intense nose of ripe fruits, cherry and blueberry jam, delicately spiced (sweet pepper), generous and harmonious. The mouth is full and rich with nice freshness. Very nice persistence, the tannins have great finesse all the while being remarkably well structured. A great and generous Chateauneuf du Pape, elegant and complex.

The 2021 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Elisabeth Chambellan Vieilles Vignes uses a little bit more Grenache at the expense of Mourvèdre compared to the Tradition and Création d'Emilie. Aged for seven months in a combination of foudre and concrete tanks, it offers red fruit aromatics mixed with spicy and meaty undertones. Savory and inviting, it displays good-intensity, smooth tannins and has the alcohol neatly integrated.
