Known as the father of the modern bourbon industry, Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr. left an indelible mark. After the Civil War, he established the O.F.C. Distillery, now known as Buffalo Trace, where we make E.H. Taylor whiskies today.  During his storied career, he revolutionized the industry with methods still in use today like copper fermenters, column stills and climate-controlled aging warehouses. E.H. Taylor’s straight Kentucky whiskies are made in recognition of the Colonel’s uncompromising dedication to great bourbon.

Yes, in most cases, the photograph on the product page is of the specific bottle for sale. If we have multiple quantities of the same item, the photo represents the general condition of all bottles under that SKU. Any significant condition issues, such as low ullage or bin-stained labels, will be clearly noted in the product description. We are happy to provide additional high-resolution images upon request-please contact us.

We use premium, industry-standard materials to protect every shipment. Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For added peace of mind, we offer shipping protection against loss or damage at checkout through OrderProtection.com.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
