The quality of the fruit from Radian Vineyard is so impressive that the owners of Screaming Eagle bought the site in 2015, but Dragonette continues to work with six distinct vineyard blocks. In 2020, they hit another one out of the park.

Intense aromas of forest flowers, autumn leaves, mushrooms and dried strawberries. Chocolate, too. Full- bodied, yet with an agile mouth-feel. Gentle sweetness of fruit with polished tannins. So long and flavorful with a salty edge. Wonderful wine. Drink or hold.

Medium ruby, the 2020 Pinot Noir Radian Vineyard is alluringly savory, a core of cranberry and blackberry fruit accented by touches of tar, woodsmoke, flint and grilled meats. Medium-bodied, it offers highly intense fruits on a silky, seamlessly fresh frame and finishes long, detailed and spicy. Give it some time in the decanter to unwind.

The 2020 Pinot Noir Radian Vineyard offers a slightly lighter ruby hue as well as exotic notes of tart raspberries, mulberries, funky herbs, and spring flowers. It's focused, almost chiseled on the palate, has terrific balance, tons of obvious minerality, and a great finish. It's certainly an exotic, singular, structured wine that will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and should be long-lived. I'm a big fan.

The 2020 Pinot Noir Radian Vineyard is a big, big wine. Sumptuous, dark cherry, plum fruit, lavender, mocha, spice, licorice and gravel fill out the layers effortlessly. There's tremendous dimension, breadth and pure power. Time in the glass brings out the wine's pedigree. The 2020 is just stellar. I won't be surprised if this is even better in time.

Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
