DAOU Discovery Collection wines represent our passion for approachable luxury. Winemaker Daniel Daou has cultivated deep connections with top Paso Robles growers for numerous vintages, allowing him to maintain absolute quality and consistency. The 2021 growing season was preceded by a dry winter, with only one large storm system that provided considerable rainfall in February. A period of light rain in July also replenished the soil with much-needed moisture. While the summer season was marked by periodic heat waves, the weather cooled down by mid August and remained that way through harvest. This cooling trend allowed the fruit to enjoy exceptional hang time. In the end, low yields and small berries provided approachable wines with excellent flavor concentration.

Any significant condition issues, such as low ullage or bin-stained labels, will be clearly noted in the product description. We use premium, industry-standard materials to protect every shipment. Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For added peace of mind, we offer shipping protection against loss or damage at checkout through OrderProtection.com.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
