Superb very intense burlat red color, deep with purple reflections. Roasted aromas, coffee, cocoa, mixed with black fruits and licorice. Wine with a very nice balance, both full-bodied, concentrated, and fruity, with a very long finish full of freshness.

I loved the 2019 Vacqueyras Le Pilon, a blend of equal parts Grenache and Syrah raised in used barrels. Black raspberries, cassis, peppery garrigue, candied flowers, and spicy oak all define the aromatics, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a lush, layered, mouth-filling texture and outstanding length. This fruit-loaded, pleasure-bent beauty.
