Distillery Notes:

Watenshi, Japanese Angel, captures that which should not exist. It is the angel’s share, that tiny fraction of spirit that escapes during distillation. All other distilleries sacrifice this, but we found a way to preserve that elusive percentage from our famous Japanese gin.

This refined technique utilises atmospheric pressure less than half that found at the summit of Mount Everest, and temperatures on a par with the coldest day ever recorded at the South Pole. The result is a yield of just 15ml every still run - that’s almost fifty distillations for a single bottle. 

Our process also revealed intense flavour compounds that would otherwise have been lost to the heavens. Inside this expertly-crafted vessel is more than just gin. It is the taste of transcendence.

We also acquire bottles from select private collections where clear and documented provenance is provided, ensuring a verifiable history for our finest items.

Yes, in most cases, the photograph on the product page is of the specific bottle for sale. If we have multiple quantities of the same item, the photo represents the general condition of all bottles under that SKU. Any significant condition issues, such as low ullage or bin-stained labels, will be clearly noted in the product description. We are happy to provide additional high-resolution images upon request-please contact us.

We use premium, industry-standard materials to protect every shipment. Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For added peace of mind, we offer shipping protection against loss or damage at checkout through OrderProtection.com.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. We also offer flexible payment options through Shop Pay Installments and Sezzle. For customers interested in using cryptocurrency, we accept BTC, ETH, XRP, USDC, and more through Coinbase Commerce.

  • Ground Shipping: Orders are typically processed within 2 business days and take 2-6 business days in transit, depending on your distance from Los Angeles.
  • Expedited Shipping (2-Day/Next Day Air): Orders placed before 12:00 PM Pacific Time are processed the same day.
  • Local Delivery: We offer same-day local delivery for eligible addresses, with the option available at checkout.

Yes. During periods of extreme heat, we include complimentary ice packs in our insulated shippers. However, to fully protect your investment, we strongly recommend selecting an overnight shipping service in these conditions. We can also hold your shipment at no charge for up to one year upon request.
