Located in the Highland region, Macduff distillery was built in 1960 in response to the post-war whisky boom. It's a seaside distillery, located on the banks of the River Deveron, next to the Moray Firth.

With its classical and functional structure, it produces a spirit most known for being nutty with a gentle, fruity sweetness.

100% bourbon barrel aged. Tasting notes from the bottler; Apple, pears, honeydew melon, gooseberries, demerara sugar, heather. As the nose suggests, pears, apple, digestive biscuits, warm golden syrup. Finish, lemon sponge cake, vanilla, buttery, barley, whipped cream."

Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For added peace of mind, we offer shipping protection against loss or damage at checkout through OrderProtection.com.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

However, to fully protect your investment, we strongly recommend selecting an overnight shipping service in these conditions.
