A bottle of Aberlour-Glenlivet 8-Year Old, bottled at 43% ABV. This was bottled for the Italian market, we estimate in the 1970s.

Aberlour distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming. It is located at the confluence of the rivers Spey and Lour and its water source is St Drostan's Well. When journalist and distilling historian Alfred Barnard visited the distillery in the 1880s he described it as 'the perfect modern distillery'. Today, Aberlour is owned by Chivas Brothers.
