Winzerin Birgit Wiederstein Rozae 2023
A spicy blend of biodynamically grown pinot noir and just a touch of merlot to give this punchy rosé a softer touch. Red fruits and spice on the nose, with more of the same on the palate all carried by a juicy acidity and overall brightness. Finishes crisp and round, with lovely minerality.
A Rosé wine from Neusiedlersee, Burgenland, Weinland, Austria. Made from Merlot, Pinot Noir, Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt. Rozae was grape juice of Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Merlot and Pinot Noir, gently extracted. Each variety is once more dominant throughout the year and once just sniffed as a clue. So it is interesting every time who plays the first violin in this composition.
