Wine of the Sea Silvano Bolmida Barolo Bussia 2018
Barolo is a traditional village in Piedmont, northwest Italy. The hills of the surrounding area have long been famous for producing fragrant, tannic red wines which take its name. These are made entirely from the Nebbiolo grape variety.Barolo wine is so revered that it was one of just three wines awarded DOCG status on the day that the classification was introduced in July 1980. (The other two were Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano).
To the northeast of Barolo, just the other side of Alba, are the vineyards which produce another stellar Nebbiolo wine, Barbaresco. Currently, the most searched-for Barolo on our database is Giacomo Conterno Monfortino Barolo Riserva.

Dense aromas of red fruit and cedary-oak character on the nose. Medium-to full-bodied with fine, firm tannins that pick up all the savory notes and leave the fruit lagging behind for now. Very good, tight core of fruit, but needs quite a few years to achieve drinkable balance. Sustainable. Try from 2026.
