The wine displays a medium ruby hue and offers inviting aromas of cherry, dried herbs, and cinnamon spice. On the palate, it reveals bright red fruit flavors balanced by refreshing acidity and a smooth texture, complemented by subtle oak influences. The long, graceful finish highlights fresh fruit and delicate spice notes, leaving a refined and lasting impression.

The Prisoner Wine Company is a Californian wine producer, based in Rutherford of Napa Valley. It was founded with the inaugural vintage of The Prisoner, a red-blend of six different grape varieties, first produced in 2000.  

When released, The Prisoner was one of the very few red-blends in Napa produced from the unlikely combination of Zinfandel with Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Syrah, Syrah and Charbono. It was rapidly and highly-successful as well as critically lauded. Between 2000 and 2009, The Prisoner had grown from 385 cases to over 75,000 cases annually.

We use premium, industry-standard materials to protect every shipment. Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For added peace of mind, we offer shipping protection against loss or damage at checkout through OrderProtection.com.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
