Selva Gin
Distilled in the historic city of Cartagena de Indias, distilled neutral alcohol with the best quality juniper and a mix of native fruits, herbs and spices sourced from all over the country, from the chilly altitudes of the Andes to tropical forests. The key botanicals include corozo (a palm fruit endemic to Colombia’s Caribbean coast), raw fermented cacao from the Pacific, limón mandarino (a native citrus hybrid) and additional botanicals, some of which we have promised to keep secret.
At 40% ABV, Selva Gin is perfect for mixing up in your favourite cocktail, be it a Martini, a Negroni or a Basil Smash. As a Gin & Tonic we like to enjoy it with lots of ice, a quality tonic and for the garnish a grapefruit twist or a wheel of limón mandarino.
With various native botanicals in the distillation of gin, which is made in small batches on the Caribbean coast. The recipe was carefully developed to find the right balance of Bulgarian juniper combined with a selection of distinctly Colombian flavours.
The ingredients have been carefully chosen to represent Colombia's diversity and to create a gin with the perfect balance. These botanicals include Colombian-grown spices, fresh herbs and native fruits including corozo from Cartagena, limón mandarino from Boyacá, fermented cacao from Valle de Cauca, cardamom from Antioquia and a secret herb from the Andean páramo of Cundinamarca.
The botanicals rest for two days and two nights to impart their delicate qualities into the nectar before being rectified with additional botanicals, some of which we can’t mention, as have sworn to keep secret.
