Golden brown goodness in a sexy bottle! Out of the numerous rums I've been able to sample, Plantation XO is holding strong as one of my favorites. Sweet and clean with a touch of coconut flavor. That subtle taste is comparable to coconut water. Drinking it neat is the way to go. The afterburn lingers a touch but is pleasant. After drinking PXO, you can see how complexity in flavor makes certain rums shine when compared to others.

An interesting rum at Plantation XO 20th Anniversary is made from a mixture of several premium extra old rums from Barbados. It is created in honor of Master Blender Alexander Gabriel!

Rums were first aged for 8 to 15 years in ex-bourbon oak barrels in Barbados before mixing. They were then transported to the southwest of France, where they matured for 2 to 10 years in Ferrand oak barrels. They were combined and mixed for a long time until they reached the right synchronization.
