The signature of this vineyard remains its terroir-driven minerality. The nose is dominated by aromas of brioche, toasted almond, dry honey, Mirabelle plum, vine blossom, jasmine, hazelnut and William pear. Accents of Mandarin orange, honey and vanilla complete the elegant bouquet. Citrus oils, white peach and lemon highlight minerality. Magnificent concentration and elegance on the palate sculpt the structure of this wine, offering intensity and richness. The 2014 La Carrière is enjoyable now and will continue to develop for a decade.

The 2014 Chardonnay La Carrière displays ripe, honeyed tangerine and nectarine notes, some wet pebbles and crisp acids. As Nicholas Morlet says, this wine is the Puligny-Montrachet of the portfolio. It is easily going to age nicely for at least a decade.
