Rare woods, herbs, citrus and raspberry extracts are the pillar of the 20th century’s defining drink: the Dry Martini cocktail. First introduced on New Year’s Day 1900, after 10 years of development by Luigi Rossi’s sons, MARTINI & ROSSI® Extra Dry has at its heart the violet-scented tartness of Florentine Orris – iris roots grown for three years before being sun-dried.
Martini & Rossi Extra Dry Vermouth captures the essence of dry vermouth through Florentine orris root. Wrestled from the ground after three long years of growth, then sun-dried and pressed, the root releases its unique violet-scented and tart aromatic oils, lending a recognizable taste to Martini & Rossi Extra Dry Vermouth.
With its sharp citrus aromas and hint of raspberry, this is a classic of its kind and adds a playful flavor to a Martini cocktail.
