Kweichow Moutai “Flying Fairy” 0.27L/270ml (106 Proof) Bottled 1981-1982, with Original Box

A genuine early-eighties export-size Flying Fairy, factory filled at 53 % vol / 106 proof and still wearing its original red silk ribbons and wheat-border hang-tag. The bottle is the classic white porcelain, front label in red-gold-black with English and Chinese text, and the importer decal from Nam Yang Trading Co., Palo Alto.

How we estimated the date:

  • Series 112 strip with full “TAX PAID DISTILLED SPIRITS” wording printed until Oct 1982

  • Red ribbons and bottle-shaped hang-tag introduced mid-1981, retired late 1983

  • Nam Yang importer labels documented only 1981-1985

Condition Notes:

  • Tax strip: Still attached to bottle shoulders and cap, torn on one side.

  • Label: clean, minor edge wear.

  • Cap seal: red shrink film fully present, no sign of tampering.

  • Ribbons & tag: original, unfaded.
