For over 125 years, Joseph Magnus has become one of the most celebrated and enthralling bourbon craftsmen in the world – and their Magnus Reserve 16-year-old straight whiskey (750ml) lives up to that extremely exceptional standard without a moment’s hesitation. A blend of 16-year-old and 18-year-old bourbon, this limited release of 192 92-proof bottles ranks very high on the wish list of collectors everywhere.
The nose picks up ribbons of honey and vanilla melting into dark wood. The tongue is soothed and blanketed in richly decadent flavors of ripe cherry, dark stone fruit, and bright citrus zest blended with vanilla bean. Freshly scythed hits of honeyed hay and a haze of smoky tobacco glide in to whisper the finish of a truly classic bourbon whisky.
