Gran Passione Rosso Veneto 2021

Similar in style to the famous Amarone of Veneto and made using dried grapes.  The Passione is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Corvina.   The Merlot gives this wine a round, fleshy juiciness while the Corvina adds dried fruits and spice.  Pair with cheese and pate, game, red Meats, hearty stews and casseroles. Reliable and consistent year after year.

Casa Vinicola Botter is a wine producer and distributor in Italy. The company was founded in 1928 as a small business selling local Veneto wines in barrels. After World War II, it moved onto bottled wine and began to develop its export markets. Botter is now managed by the third generation of the family and over 90 percent of sales are made outside Italy.

Botter owns two wine estates in northern Italy. Divici is a winery with 100 hectares (250 acres) of organic vineyards in the hills around Treviso. These are planted with a range of classic Veneto varieties such as Corvina, although the initial focus has been on an organic Prosecco.

Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
