Domaine de Courbissac Les Farradjales Minervois 2020
Courbissac is an estate located at an altitude of 200 meters on the last clay-limestone foothills of the MINERVOIS before the Montagne Noire. Near Cesseras in Hérault, between the prehistoric decorated cave of Aldène, the Dolmen des Fades and the Romanesque chapel of Saint-Germain, the COURBISSAC vines are planted on a Mediterranean terroir, where men, cultures and climates have crossed paths.
Courbissac produces wines from an ancient plant heritage, with the oldest vines reaching 90 years old. Courbissac is the result of the exceptional meeting of the historic hillsides of M. and the desire to produce a lively, artisanal and sincere wine.
One of the Languedoc's top appellations, Minervois lies just north of Corbières, at the foot of the Montagne Noire massif.
Minervois is an appellation for distinctive red wines from the western Languedoc in France. In general, they are more supple than those produced in Corbières, just to the south. The Minervois title also covers rosé and white wines.
The Minervois appellation covers a large area of land in the western Languedoc, north of a line dran between Carcassonne to the west and Narbonne to the east. The Montagne Noire range of mountains marks the northern limit of the title, with many vineyards located on slopes in the foothills of the range.
