Didier Dagueneau Silex is made from old Sauvignon Blanc vines and has a wide range of aromas. Powerful, concentrated citrus fruit with gunflint minerality and precise, crystalline acidity. This wine will continue to develop for the next decade if held.

Legendary winemaker Didier Dagueneau was affectionately referred to as the ‘Wild man of Pouilly’ not only because of his looks but because his ideas seemed simply ludicrous at the time. He halved his yields and began tilling his vineyards by horse instead of a tractor. He paid scrupulous attention to detail at every stage, from vineyard management (biodynamic since 1993) to winemaking processes in the cellar. He redeemed the reputation of Pouilly-Fumé and became one of the greatest winemakers of his generation. It was one of the biggest blows to the wine trade when he died in a tragic accident in 2008. However, Didier’s name lives on as the Domaine is now led by his son Benjamin and daughter Charlotte. They continue the Dagueneau philosophy and consistently produce wines that are as pure, intense and otherworldly as their father’s. A true jewel in Bancroft`s portfolio, these wines are on strict allocation and are therefore very limited.

All shipments require an adult signature on delivery. Please make sure an adult 21 or older will be available to sign for your package. We recommend shipping to a business address when possible.

We ship packages Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Express (overnight & 2 day) are usually shipped the same-day if placed by Noon Pacific time.. Please call for priority overnight services. We're happy to accommodate whenever possible.

Ground orders are usually packaged and shipped within 1-3 business days after the order is placed, Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays.
