D'Arenberg reds are rarely shy wines, but this is a particularly massive wine. The aromatics are reminiscent of sour cherry, potpourri and cigar box with a prominent herbal, woodsy note. The palate is dominated by raspy, powerful tannins and a dusty oak character. The tobacco and herb notes are even stronger here, wrestling the fruit almost to oblivion. There's some heat from the alcohol too.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
