It was produced for the first time in 1963. "V.E.P." (Exceptionally Prolonged Aging) is a registered trademark specific to Chartreuse. Produced each year in limited quantities, the Chartreuse V.E.P. is made using the same processes as the Chartreuse Verte. The Carthusians took care to select certain traditional green liqueurs which will continue to age for many years in demi-muids. The patina of time allows it to develop aromas of great complexity and long persistence.

Chartreuse Green V.E.P. (Vieillissement Exceptionnellement Prolongé) is an extraordinary herbal liqueur, crafted by Carthusian monks using a centuries-old secret recipe. This rare and aged version of Green Chartreuse is produced in limited quantities and aged extensively in oak casks, enhancing its depth, complexity, and smoothness.

Made with a meticulous blend of 130 botanicals, Green V.E.P. is renowned for its intense herbal character, deep aromatic layers, and long, velvety finish. The aging process refines its bold flavors, making it an exceptional choice for connoisseurs and collectors.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
