Ruby red. Crushed violet, ripe purple plum, clove, and spicy white pepper. This full-bodied wine is layered with rich flavors of blackberry cobbler, black cherry jam, and hints of nutmeg. It is bold and robust with a velvety texture, balanced by freshness and mild acidity.

Ben highlights the unique attributes of Californias most sought after coastal winegrowing regions for Pinot Noir: the bright minerality of the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County, the rich opulence of the Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterey County and the spice-driven elegance of the Santa Maria Valley in Santa Barbara County. This stretch of the California coastline is so geographically diverse that the various soil types, sub-climates, and elevations produce desirable and complex Pinot Noirs and Chardonnay. To create our Ben Pinot Noir, we work closely with growers and vineyards in each region to blend a well-balanced wine. This wine shows its coastal California roots in its flavor, texture, and vibrant acidity.

Belle Glos showcases distinctive Pinot Noirs produced from California's most noteworthy coastal wine-growing regions. While each vineyard location lies near the Pacific Ocean, the climate differences are significant, varying with the amount of fog, wind, sunlight, and soil type at each site. Each Vineyard Designate is crafted to distill the purest essence of the locale into elegant expressions of California Pinot Noir. Owner/winemaker, Joe Wagner chose the name Belle Glos (pronounced "BELL GLOSS") to honor his grandmother, Lorna Belle Glos Wagner. Lorna was a co-founder of Caymus Vineyards, an inspirational figure to Joseph and an avid lover of Pinot Noir.

Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
