This expression from White Oak was aged for five years in sherry casks, and it's brimming with sweet, unctuous character that makes it a glorious sipper neat, it would also make a delightful Highball if you want to drink it like you're in Japan!
Single malt Japanese whisky produced by Eigashima Shuzo in Akashi, Japan. Distilled from 100% lightly peated barley in copper pot stills. Aged 5 years in ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry casks; finished in Oloroso sherry casks.
An enticing nose of black cherries, dried apricot, and walnut skin leads to a palate of salted caramel, fig, waffles, and bittersweet chocolate 50% ABV. Eigashima Shuzo’s Akashi Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky is a limited annual release from Japan’s oldest whisky distillery. A beautiful expression of Japanese whisky, this contemplative sipper is ideal for any lover of sherry.
