2006 Agricola Querciabella Batar Toscana IGT
A blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Blanc. Only 15,000 bottles are made each year. Hand-picked grapes, approximately 12 months in oak and 6 months in cement before sleeping in the bottle for 6 months until release. Attention to detail is paramount. Dark, amber yellow on the eye. The palate is burnt caramel, toasted almonds, lemon-lime, mild acidity and some preserved veggies. Wow, wow, wow. We would book the Presidential Suite for her...even if she chose another with whom to enjoy the decadence.
