El Tesoro is a tequila producer based in the Jalisco highlands of Mexico, operating out of La Alteña distillery where blue Weber agave is harvested at full maturity and cooked in traditional stone ovens before being crushed by a tahona wheel. The resulting juice ferments naturally and is double-distilled in small copper pot stills. Tesoro Number 5 Blanco Tequila represents the unaged, most direct expression of that highland agave character, while El Tesoro Tequila Reposado and El Tesoro Tequila Anejo extend aging in American oak. El Tesoro Paradiso Extra Anejo finishes in former Cognac barrels, and the Mundial Collection introduces cask collaborations with Laphroaig, Knob Creek Rye, and Basil Hayden Toast Bourbon. El Tesoro de Don Felipe 85th Anniversario Extra Anejo marks the distillery's heritage with an extended aging program.
