Chateau Lafite Rothschild

Chateau Lafite Rothschild is a First Growth winery located in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux's Left Bank, classified at the summit of the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. The estate's grand vin is a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend sourced from gravel-and-clay soils, aged in new French oak barriques for approximately eighteen months before bottling. Represented here across multiple vintages including 1989, 2002, 2009, and 2015, the grand vin reflects each year's growing season with notable variation in character. Carruades de Lafite, the estate's second wine, draws from younger vines on the same property, with the 1995 and 2003 vintages available here. The entry point into the Lafite family is Anseillan du Chateau Lafite Rothschild Pauillac, produced from the estate's Ansellan vineyard, while the grand vin itself represents the ceiling of the range.
