Weller

View Full Description [+ Read More]
Weller is a wheated bourbon brand produced at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, named after whiskey pioneer William Larue Weller, who is credited as one of the first distillers to substitute wheat for rye as the secondary grain in bourbon mash bills. All Weller expressions share that wheat-forward recipe, which produces a softer grain character carried through each release. W.L. Weller Special Reserve serves as the entry point into the range, while Weller Antique 107 is bottled at 107 proof without an age statement. WL Weller 12 Year Old brings extended barrel maturation, and Weller Full Proof is released at its original barrel-entry proof. Weller Single Barrel and the craft-oriented Weller CYPB represent the most allocated and sought-after expressions in the Weller bourbon portfolio.
