Glenfarclas

View Full Description [+ Read More]

Glenfarclas is a family-owned single malt Scotch whisky distillery located in Ballindalloch on Speyside, one of the few remaining independent Highland producers still controlled by the Grant family after six generations. The distillery uses direct-fired copper pot stills and matures its whisky exclusively in oloroso sherry casks sourced from Jerez, a practice that defines the house style across all expressions. The Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength represents the distillery's most widely recognized release, bottled at 60% ABV, while the Family Cask series - including the 1992 25 Year Old Family Cask #2901 - offers single-cask bottlings drawn from across decades of production. At the apex sit the Glenfarclas Vintage 1968 and Vintage 1974 Cask Strength, alongside the 40 Year Old and 40 Year Old Warehouse Edition, representing some of the longest-aged Speyside whisky in active release.
