For my money and taste, Savigny-Lès-Beaune offers some of Burgundy's best reds. The 2017 Domaine Julien Gros Clos du Village is a top performer. This wine is seductively balanced and exhibits just the right amount of intensity. Its aromas and flavors of wild strawberries, chalk, and dried fruit should pair superbly with a lightly-seasoned rotisserie chicken.
