Maine Coast Heritage Trust works to conserve coastal land and islands for recreational opportunities, ecological value, and scenic preservation. One vital link in the chain of islands conserved by MCHT is Little Whaleboat Island Preserve—a cluster of three small islands and ledges in Casco Bay that provide sanctuary to a range of wildlife including seals, seabirds, shorebirds and wading birds.
