In 1999, Dominique Lafon, a respectful winemaker with a great family history embarked on a new adventure in Mâcon, in southern Burgundy, believing that the area had great potential. With this belief, he founded Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon, first with 7 hectares in Milly-Lamartine, and later taking on a collection of remarkable plots with great Mâconnais terroirs. His business has gone from strength to strength and now enjoys international recognition.
Critical Acclaim

The 2021 Mâcon Uchizy is a blend of vineyards within the climat (i.e. not Les Maranches) as the northern sector lost 90% of volume due to frost. It has a lilting orchard fruit, apricot-tinged bouquet with a spring in its step. The palate is well balanced with good depth, substance, fine acidity and a spicy, persistent finish. Excellent.

Wafting from the glass with aromas of mandarin orange, citrus blossom and fresh peach, the 2018 Mâcon-Uchizy Les Maranches is medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with a fleshy core of fruit and a charming, seamless profile. As usual, some muscatŽ selections of Chardonnay make themselves felt.
