2016 Puiatti Lus Ribolla Gialla
From the Friulian word LUS (meaning “light”), referring to the delicate and bright Ribolla Gialla, a native grape variety that is the symbol of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in a limpid, sunny version with essential, intact and clean aromas.
Bright yellow with a nose of citrus and chestnut. A bright and refreshing wine with flavors of white flower, oranges and a hint of lemon. This is a well-balanced wine which is light and bright.

Ribolla Gialla is one of the unique local grapes of Friuli and this bottling provides a textbook example of this worthwhile variety. The moment you pour the wine, it is as if you are picking the freshest and ripest apple in an orchard. In between hints of apples, the wine offers freshly cut white flowers, sea breeze and gravel. The palate continues with pear, wildflower honey and a distinct minerality that adds nuance on the finish.
