Burgo Viejo Rioja Graciano 2017 750ml
Bodegas Burgo Viejo is a winery in the Rioja region of Spain. It makes a wide range of wines, most of which are reds based on Tempranillo, spanning from Joven styles through Crianza to Gran Reserva. The company originated in 1987 as the combined effort of six neighboring farming families who all wished to try their hand at winemaking.
The bodega's vineyards go through Alfaro in the Rioja to the Ebro Valley, and the grape varieties grown include Tempranillo, Mazuelo, Grenache, Graciano and Viura. Some of these vineyards date back over 30 years to the bodega's beginnings.
Grapes are made in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Crianza through to Gran Reserva wines are aged in 225 liter oak casks. There is an 80:20 split in favor of American over French oak.
