Joel Burt and Eric Wareheim form the dynamic duo behind Las Jaras Wines, a partnership forged by their shared ardor for wine. Eric's passion for wine appreciation harmonizes seamlessly with Joel's professional winemaking expertise, naturally leading them to establish Las Jaras Wines. Their vision revolves around crafting small-batch, low-intervention, low- alcohol wines that echo the terroir-driven, food-friendly, and flavorful ethos of 1970s Napa Valley, embodying the essence of restraint. Leasing biodynamic, organic, and sustainable vineyards in Mendocino and Sonoma, they nurture exceptional terroirs. McNab Ranch Vineyard in Mendocino, dating back to the 1950s, thrives with biodynamic practices and dry farming, adorned with biodiversity. Venturi Vineyard's old, head-trained vines, nearly seven decades old, flourish in sandy loam soil while practicing organic and dry farming. Zeller Vineyard in Redwood Valley is dedicated to organic, dry farming, and boasts Pinole gravelly loam soil. Fred Berger's Oak Shade Ranch on Sonoma Mountain offers volcanic gravelly loam soil, contributing to Las Jaras Wines' distinctive character.
