Just when we were all getting used to the fact that Ribeira Sacra is mostly about Mencía grapes (which it is) Algueira throws this rarity our way, from the Merenzao grape variety, a grape known as Trousseau in France's Jura region, and Bastardo in the Douro, where it contributes aromatics and freshness to those wines.
