The color is a light neon green and a glance at the ingredients shows that it contains FD&C Blue #1 as well as high fructose corn syrup. This is disappointing, but perhaps what younger bar customers used to brightly colored sugary cocktails expect in looks and taste. The flavor is very sweet, offset with a sour vinegar taste and no saltiness. If you enjoy sweet & sour asian dishes, this is similar in many ways. I wouldn’t say it works particularly well with Irish whiskey as the sweetness of the brine seems to overpower the natural maltiness of the whiskey.
